Securing the Shot: Where to License High-Resolution Images for Print Advertising with Full Extended Commercial Rights

When you are designing a high-impact print campaign—whether it is a massive billboard towering over a highway, glossy magazine spreads, or point-of-sale displays—the stakes are entirely different from standard digital marketing. A grainy photo on a social media post might escape notice, but a pixelated asset blown up to 300 DPI on a physical print layout will spell immediate disaster for a brand’s reputation.

Worse yet is the legal minefield. Standard stock photo licenses often carry rigid restrictions: caps on print runs (frequently limited to 500,000 copies), bans on merchandise or packaging use, and exclusions for out-of-home (OOH) media.
